ConArtists.org Organization of Politically Conservative Artists is a not for much profit group comprised of an assortment of creative individuals be they artists, writers, poets, actors, musicians, mimes, etcetera... who are allied with the conservative political movement. It is currently open to anyone who identifies themself as both an artist and a conservative. There are no platform requirements or litmus tests. We accept members from all walks of conservatism: neocons, paleocons, theocons, RINOS, libertarians, royalists, oligarchists, monarchists, authoritarians, and so on... All are welcome. After all, there are so few conservatives in the art world/ indie subculture that beggars can't afford to be choosers. Furthermore, anyone even claiming to be conservative in such conditions where being one is against all odds, deserves the benefit of the doubt.

The main purpose of this organization is merely to show the world that we are out there. Some of us WAYYY out there. Perhaps over time we will evolve into some sort of serious political action group who endorses candidates, raises money, and attempts to influence elections in a real way... But for now, CONARTISTS.ORG is just a haven for the disillusioned, disenchanted creative right. Though often alone and outnumbered, as idiosyncratic anomalies we exist and persist nonetheless. If you've ever been the only guy who voted republican in your band, debated the Iraq war with seething liberals at a Hollywood Party, been the sensitive poet who appalled his vegan roommates by devouring steaks in their presence.... This organization is dedicated to you. The life of a conservative artist is a lonely one. You're often surrounded by liberals through every aspect of your creative endeavors and constantly subjected to overhearing them ranting and raving amongst themselves. Usually you just end up biting your tongue, while sometimes choosing the occasional battle. The whole experience creates a sort of bunker mentality...a one man's war. But in fact you're not alone. You're one of us.
